WINNER WINNER!

Congrats to blog follower Emily for winning the grand prize! Sorry I was late announcing the winner, I was abducted to the Jersey shore with hopes of finding Snookie.  I did not, but I did find out I have an addiction to roulette.  Next week I'll be announcing a new giveaway so if you didn't win this time stay tuned!

You Made Your Bed, Lay In It

So I am always working on making my first little New York City apartment feel less like a dorm room and more like the overpriced closet that it is so I was really thrilled when my sheets finally came!  In a small space, sometimes its best to make a bold statement in your bedding, because let's be honest- thats about 85% of the room.  My bedroom is still a work in progress, but this is what we have going on so far...
I fell in love for the brown chevron pattern but my ratty old lavender duvet cover has G2G.  For the summer I really want a simple white matlesse, like one from The Company Store.  If you couldn't tell, I like my deer heads like I like my men, trannys.
Wondering when the time will come that I won't need to scale my bed in order to make it....?
Punch list: blowing up some of my favorite photos and framing them in a hot pink frame and then waiting for my Trina Turk rug and pillow.

Come Kick Of A Stylish Summer With KEP Designs and Lilly Pulitzer!

I will totally be going to support my girl gaminegolightly as so unveils KEP's exclusive collection for Lilly Pulitzer Wednesday June 9th.  The two Upper East Side preppy staples have joined together for what is sure to be a fun night of bright baubles and lots of wine!
If you aren't familiar with KEP, get on board.  Owner Kelley Pillman had the bright idea to go off on her own post-grad after she received many requests for custom necklaces when she wore a self made creation to a wedding. KEP and Lilly go together like tequila and me and recently both brands have branched out to incorporate a little bit more of a trendy clientele.

I hope everyone checks it out!

Summer Loving...

This spring has had more personalities than Spencer Pratt on a good day.  Some days its cold and rainy and other days it feels like we are in the middle of Palm Springs... only we're not.. we're in Manhattan.  In an attempt to KEEP CALM and CARRY ON here are some summer staples for whenever this summer season might want to settle into itself.

THE DRESS
This Shoshanna dress has every hot trend for the summer wrapped up into one beautifully constructed dress. Tie-die, bright colors and a little bit of Moroccan flair. Its perfect for this season but it works for every summer after it.

Look how cute Kristen Bell looks in the one shoulder variation, which I've been trying like no other to track down!
Special thanks to Dani Rani Designs for the picture... couldn't find it anywhere!

THE SHOES
For the summer I'm pretty partial to wearing Tom's.  Tom's shoes have a great message (each pair you buy, they give a pair to a child in need), are super comfortable and thanks to their ecologically responsible, fabulous designs, they are really quite chic, selling everywhere from Bergdorfts to Whole Foods.  I just got this pair...
but there are so many other great styles.  Here are some more of my favorites:
tomsFashion Trends & Styles - Polyvore

toms by gkatz featuring TOMS shoes

THE TUNIC
This Marrakesh Caftan by Yoana Baraschi in either yellow or navy. It would look great at night for dinner or to throw on at the beach while you are heading to the snack bar.

THE JEWELRY

These bali necklace/earring sets.  Contact thebangledbunny@gmail.com for pricing information. I love that they are bib necklaces and have a little bit of an ethnic tint to them, yet are totally wearable with your favorite Lilly dress.

THE BEACH BAG
This one is easy, its the canvas tote from iomoi.  I WILL get this ASAP, its been on my list of things to buy forever, but then I have to pay rent or something really inconvenient like that.

THE BATHING-SUIT
Anything from the designer Martha Rey. When I saw her suits I cursed my need to wear the equivalent of orthopedic swimwear. Just take a look:
This is so fun, love purple!

She makes one pieces look cool, like come on, that's impossible!

There is only 1 left of this on shopbop!!

A modern take on the yellow polka dot bikini...

I'm debating the things I would do to own this cover up/dress... that goes for all of these things I suppose...

Call Dog The Bounty Hunter: Lindsay Lohan, Wanted Woman

WOW, no way!!!! Didn't see this one coming!!
WOMP WOMP
Linslo is partying in St. Tropez which just so happens to NOT be Beverly Hills WHERE her appointment with the Law is. In all her infinite wisdom Lohan is claiming her passport was stolen, though she never reported it stolen or made any attempts to get a new one. Rightfully so the Judge is saying she better get her ass back pronto and if she wants to parade around not in shackles she has to remain sober, wear a SCRAM bracelet and submit to drug testing. So basically she can't live. Whatever, can someone just send her to jail and lets be done with this? Its a toss up who is going to get more time... the cat burglar or the future of the porn industry.  Thanks to The Superficial for his constant, candid coverage of this state matter.

Still Doing This Giveaway Thing! Ends May 28th!!

I've been so busy with work, watching the Mets loose and experimenting with new ways to ruin my life, I myself forgot about the giveaway, which is still in effect! I'll be giving away this bad-ass bangle to one lucky follower so send the link to your friends on G-chat while you are all pretending to work so I'm not always preaching to the choir, so to speak.  One of my favorite blogs, Geek Chic did a great post (so she, and any other blogger, gets three extra entries!!) on the giveaway, styling it with this really cute romper {black halo?} Take a lizzoook:
Love it. But seriously, everyone should check out her blog; she is unbelievably crafty and actually completes her projects unlike some people who just likes to make lists about things I may or may not one day do. She is definitely the kind of person that knows how to make appetizers that don't come out of a frozen box.  One day...

Happy Weekend: Head to Nordstrom Rack!

The fact that the subway lets me out directly in front of Nordstrom Rack is going to become a serious issue.  I got off the 5 at 9:45 and seeing the doors were still open I thought I would take a poke around and see if the hype was worth it. It was.  Even two days after opening and late at night The Rack had TONS of Milly, Theory, Trina Turk and Rebecca Minkoff bags, all current styles at great prices.
The dresses were all under $150, the tops were $40-$79... it was great! If only I hadn't just spent my money at the Tibi sample... and then on gilt today. Womp, womp. RUN to union square and Nordstrom Rack you won't be unhappy.

I Likey You, You Likey Me??

I'm lusting after this Hockney Satchel from J-Crew.
And also, Ike Davis, the Met's new first baseman. {Sorry John, you had your chance!}

Debunking Gypset Fashion with Chanel's Cruise 2011 Collection {With Help From Mathew Williamson and Jules Reid}

Last night I joined all my gorgeous, glamourous and famous friends in St.Tropez for the debut of Chanel's Cruise 2011 Collection. I was really excited to see my good friend Karl and be there for possibly one of his last collections!  Here are all the pictures I took, some photographer from Women's Wear Daily helped, a little.
For the work blog I've been writing about the gypset lifestyle and how it relates to home decor so now I get a chance to focus more on the fashion aspect of this jet setting way of life. When I think of gypset I think of above; the big billowy shape and crazy pattern. You can wear this as a cover up or gown and when you are living in a fabulous beach town, there isn't much time to change between the two.

Loved that most of the models walked barefoot down the catwalk, which was really a boardwalk.

My grandma Sybil definitely wore something like this back in the day

And I would want to wear something like this right now.

Maybe I'll wear gobs of jewelry to the beach.  Maybe I'll look like a total freak.

I think this is my favorite. I just love how its fun and flirty but at the same its really wearable.

I would love to see my mom in this; that obi belt is uber flattering.

Little White Suits

Love this evening dress with the sheer bottom, its perfect for a black tie summer event

I love these boots, not interested in the rest

This is great for anyone who wants to be a real life Lady Gaga

This is a fun like ode to the seventies

I'd be smiling if I was her too. Another designer that celebrates this carefree world win lifestyle is Matthew Williamson.  Williamson has been a favorite among the socialite crowd since the brand's inception in 2007.  Since then he has taken over as creative head at Emilio Pucci while continuing to grow his own line {you've surely seen some of his designs on Gossip Girl... when Blair goes to give Chuck's uncle a rimmer for the hotel back...} Here are some of my favorite looks from his Spring/Summer collections.

Many people think that putting a bright scarf around your head means you are a haute-boho babe, but really its about taking inspiration from all your travels and putting them into an outfit.  The harem pant, as unflattering and diaper-ass as it is, takes it roots from India and paired with a Parisian inspired sequined blazer and an all-American white tank... you've hit three continents.

I love all the tribal inspired prints and elements throughout his Spring collection.

You can shop most of the looks here if you've got a couple of g's to spend.  A designer who is soon to be known just as well as Williamson is Jules Reid. I can't remember where it was when I stumbled on her site, but I'm glad I did.  Her collection works everywhere from NYC, the Hamptons or even St. Tropez.  Here are some of my favorites:

I wish I was tall enough to pull these off! The Wyatt Pant $495. {This pant is also being carried at Calypso}

Love this Charlotte Top. $675
It stands to reason that this isn't Jules' first time at the career rodeo.  First a power broker, then interior designer and now fashion designer, Reid takes her inspiration from living in India for a time along paired with her NYC street smarts.  Her designs are fun and fresh and although the tunic is a fashion staple, these all look original.  Check out her site here for more from the designer/mother.  I'll be stalking like no other for a sale!
