Jules Reid Blog Sale

A while back I did a post on Gypset fashions and included the oh so amazing Jules Reid collection.  Her stuff can be found on her website and other speciality stores like Calypso.  As much as I would love to pretend I was tall and skinny enough to wear her things around The Hamptons, the price tag is a little hefty, but luckily she is offering a sale exclusively to the blogesphere.  Enter blog25 to receive 25% off your purchase. If I wasn't coming dangerously close to my credit card limit I would be scooping up the following:

These pants and that dress in the pink and orange. Happy shopping!

Happy Weekend: Head to Nordstrom Rack!

The fact that the subway lets me out directly in front of Nordstrom Rack is going to become a serious issue.  I got off the 5 at 9:45 and seeing the doors were still open I thought I would take a poke around and see if the hype was worth it. It was.  Even two days after opening and late at night The Rack had TONS of Milly, Theory, Trina Turk and Rebecca Minkoff bags, all current styles at great prices.
The dresses were all under $150, the tops were $40-$79... it was great! If only I hadn't just spent my money at the Tibi sample... and then on gilt today. Womp, womp. RUN to union square and Nordstrom Rack you won't be unhappy.

Tibi Sample Sale Run Down

So today I ducked out to check out the Tibi sample sale and I can honestly say I've answered Mya's question... I know why the caged bird sings and its because she was stuck in a cubical throwing 'bows trying to get their hands on ANYTHING. I don't think people really cared what it was as long as it zipped.  I got there at 1:05 (it started at 1) and it was as though I had entered the dinning hall at high noon only the dinning hall was more like a small cafe.
Like, yeah.  To be honest their past sales had been better.  I didn't see anything that you could get in stores, it truly was a sample sale! There were a good deal of dresses in lesser known or bought prints, a lot of cropped sweaters and some fun colored blazers. The tops were all around $79 dollars, the dresses were anywhere from $113-300 and the blazers were $200.  Also, last sample sale I went to I got a killer pair of shoes that were still in stores... these were the only lonely shoes they had, plus some gold, already worn sandals.

I tried to not get caught up in the hoopla of it all and stay focused on getting something that I could have forever and maybe something else that was just fun to wear this summer.   Okay so what did I end up with?
Okay, so admittedly this is really queer, but gotta do it. This white shift dress is totally something that I will have forever and the little flowers pop out, which make it special.  Plus that back is really cute.  I can wear my obnoxious pink Tory Burch heels and some fun bangles to go out or gladiator sandals and a blazer to the office, should I ever work in one.

I loved the print of this and have seen it everywhere so I knew this was a smart buy.  I had wanted the more tailored version, but it wouldn't be a sample sale for nothing.

I don't know if you can tell, but there is a little V in the back.
Every girl that worked there was amazingly nice and even though it was a sample sale they went to the back to look for more sizes, granted I did go the first hour of the first day.  One of the sales assistants said that they would be restocking sizes, not really styles throughout the the next couple of days, but you never know! Click here for the invite and join Tibi's facebook group for a chance to win an entire weekend wardrobe (as long as you have other Tibi friends).

Whitney Port and Brian Reyes on Rue La-La Tomorrow

Everyone at my tenement house can't wait to see Kelly Cutrone light a fire under Whitney Port's ass and have her slap a bitch after Olivia Palermo scriptedly skips out on their interview for the Rue La-La/ Elle shoot.  BRILLIANTLY enough the episode premiers the night her's (and designer Brian Reyes') collection on the sale site.  Take a look at the lookbook below.

I would love this dress! But is it actually going to be on the site? That is the always the question with site like Gilt, Hautelook and Rue La La. Check out the rest of the Whitney Eve collection here! BTW Gilt has been about as exciting as the previews for Letters To Juliet.  With collaborations like this and with Bravo's Launch My Line, Rue La La has it's eye on dethroning the Gilt Goliath. Here's your invite to check it out tomorrow at 11!

You Got That Where??

This is going to sound really cheesy, but I just did some serious shopping on Victoria's Secret.com and it wasn't just for unmentionables.  It appears Victoria's real secret is that she has some DL cute things for good prices (and a killer sale).
I got this dress in white, but there are a butt load of other colors.  It's a good day to night dress you can wear with flip flops and a jean jacket or some strappy sandals  and a bib necklace.

This shirt dress comes in black, which would be sharp for the office in the summer hours.
I love the pattern of this dress and the neckline, its really flattering.
I was most excited about this purchase, I like the chevron print, but it remains to be seen how great this or any of the pieces look on normal, non Miranda Kerr people.
The number above is a rip off of the Rebecca Taylor best seller from last season, but its a good one!
This is a great throw on for the beach and comes in a lot of different colors.
I also got this dress because it would be a really cute cover up that I can throw on to wear to work or after for dinner.
I loveee this linen cover up, its really chic and looks cosy.

This boyfriend shirt is a great year round staple.
And this "cosy sweater" or whatever its called can be tied a million different ways.  Great to throw on after you've gotten far too much color.
These trouser shorts come in different colors and are a nice way to dress up the summer staple.  Bonus: you can wear them in the cooler months with tights and a blazer.
It's always hard to find a pair of white jeans that fit well and don't cost millions of rupies, which is why these jeans are great at fifty bucks.  Of course with Victoria's Secret you can always find some real "gems."
I can't wait to see Snooki in this on the new season of The Jersey Shore
Apparently this can be converted a bunch of different ways, but no matter which way you wrap it... its ugly.
Surrey with the fringe on top!

I don't even think Kim Kardashian would touch this one.
This print...

This is great if you want your legs to look like huge tree trunks and washed out.
HOLY VALOUR BATMAN! Juicy Couture isn't even doing the jumpsuit anymore... that was not an open invitation to make this camel toe worthy number.

So shop Victoria's Secret (with care) till friday and receive up to 75 dollars off your order

It Takes Two: Zac Posen and Cynthia Vincent at Target.

Zac Posen is coming out with a ready to wear collection for Target, which has already garnered an absurd amount of buzz. Unsure of where or not you will be able to get the complete collection online or just in stores, but in any case take a lizzzzoookk:
I like this yellow raincoat for $49.99 but the ruched skirt is questionable since its made by target who also manufactures things from the undeniably classy mossimo label. (skirt 34.99)

I like this pattern more as a skirt than a full on dress (see below) for 49.99. The bikini top I'm into because it actually looks like something Posen would design for his couture line. The cardigan is nothing earth shattering for 49.99 but the belt is a winner for 24.99.

I like the shape of this brocade dress, but I'm not sure about the pattern.  It kind of reminds me of wallpaper from The Brady Bunch. (74.99)

Gold lame one piece? No spanks. (39.99)

Again, this looks like something Posen would design but the fabrication is just so cheesy and its 49.99.

I love this look.  It's something he would design and its wearable but a little out there. $69.99

I LOVE this, I think its my favorite.  I'm confused which is which because for this shot it lists both a Two-Piece Ruffled Dress in Navy and Black - $79.99 and Tank Dress in Tie-Dye Print - $29.99. I feel like I'd be into both.

Maybe this is my favorite actually. I don't know, I didn't expect to like this line as much as I do.  This kind of looks like a DVF dress and would be so fun for work and out. $39.99

Feh... Skirt $34.99, Pleated Tie Top $34.99

This skirt is a MUST (39.99) and the tee shirt for $19.99 is cute

Pleated-Sleeve Top in Polka-Dot Print - $29.99
Low-V One-Piece Swimsuit in Tie-Dye Print - $34.99

I also love this look as well, that braided belt is amazeballs. Dress in Polka-Dot Print - $39.99
Braided Belt in Blue/Pink - $24.99
I'm not into this look, it reminds me of Eddie Ryan, a gay geriatric case who chain smoked and rode around in his wheel chair at my grandparent's nursing home. Short-Sleeve Top in Safety Pin Print - $26.99 Chambray Bermuda Shorts in Blue - $27.99 Braided Belt in Blue/Pink - $24.99
An ode to Marilyn, right got it, noted. Low-V One-Piece Swimsuit in Red - $34.99
Scarf in Safety-Pin Print - $24.99
Not into it. Chambray Dress in Blue - $39.99 Zac Lipstick Tee in Red - $16.99 Braided Belt in Black - $24.99

Cardigan in Black - $49.99
Zac Lipstick Tank in White - $16.99
Tuxedo Pants in Black - $39.99

Moto Leather Jacket in Red - $199.99
Tuxedo Bodysuit in Black - $34.99
Braided Belt in Black - $24.99
Tuxedo Skirt in Black - $39.99  I WANT ALL OF IT

Actually... maybe this is my favorite.  I don't know why I think I feel the need to have a favorite.  I should ask my mom why she feels the need to have a favorite daughter.  That isn't me. Sweater Dress in Black - $49.99

80's Prom gone wrong. Two-Piece Ruffled Dress in Red - $79.99

Fab. Fab. Fab. Gown in Safety-Pin Print - $69.99

This look might be a little too sexy to wear to work and a little too conservative to wear out.  In other words, send it to Ellen DeGeneres for her Cover Girl Ads.  Thanks nymag for all the pics, maybe if you hired me I wouldn't have to hyjack all your pictures!

Recently I haven't loved the Go International lines for Target, but look for look, I'm into this in a BIG way. I can't get a definitive answer whether or not this line will be sold online, like Anna Sui was, but be sure to be on the lookout for the line on April 25th!  Currently online is the Cynthia Vincent shoe collection, which I'm obsessed with.  I wanted these multi colored wedges, but of course they are one of the only two things that aren't sold online.

New York I love you, but having to go to Brooklyn to get my target fix isn't really working for me. Other than that she has a great collection of flats, all of which you can not only get online, but are free shipping! Enjoy.

Both options are only 24.99! Click here to see the other ten styles.
