Jonathan Adler Launching A Line For Seven Jeans

After years of having its loyal customers forgo purchasing the pricey denim line, Seven For All Mankind, at retailers like Bergdorfts and boutiques in favor for T.J. Maxx, Lohemans and Gilt, the brand is revamping its image with the help of the fabulous furniture designer, Jonathan Adler.  This unlikely combo is sure to gain a lot of buzz in both the fashion and interior design world, and quite frankly, I'm sure its great.  I love Jonathan Adler furniture because its not just one thing (except for totally chic). It's classic and all- American, but has flaming foreign influences. Its simple, but stylish. It's modern but vintage.  The transitional line has grown in the past years to include a textile, furniture, decor and gift line, all of which carry the "happy chic" message.  The transition into fashion isn't such a surprise; Adler transitioned into the furniture game by way of pottery when his designs were featured in Bergdorft's and his needlepoint pillows featuring belts, ties and underwear lean towards the atelier side of things.  His designs for the home are fun, frivolous and make me smile, so if he can do the same for clothes, then Mozl Tov my fellow son of David.

When I redid the BF's room, this was on the bed.  Now it's collecting dust above the bookshelf in my room. 

 How can you not love a guy who makes drugs look cute?

It's a funny joke, until its in my bathroom and then its just true.

So... what can we expect from this new line for Sevens? WWD reports:

"The limited edition collection is broken down into three themes — Deluxe, Rustic and Pop — with a men’s and women’s look for 

each, giving the line a total of six jeans and six tops. The Deluxe items were designed for a casual beach lifestyle, while the Rustic segment relies on more modern, earthy looks. Pop looks use brighter colors and white contrast for a preppier look. The collection will retail for $90 to $210." 

 Adler expressed excitement about branching out into the apparel world, especially with Seven Jeans, saying "...We all know everyone needs jeans..." These are the only two pictures taken from the collection, due out next month, but we can safety assume the prints with be popping and the denim will be classic.  Jonathan himself is a very chic dresser.  When I met him at a seminar on blogging he was wearing slim dark jeans, driving mocs, a white crisp button down and red v-neck cashmere sweater; in other words, his uniform.  The line will launch May 12 and Adler will host a cocktail party at Seven's Soho store.  After that you can shop any of the denim company's 30 stores. Cannot wait to see it!

It Takes Two: Zac Posen and Cynthia Vincent at Target.

Zac Posen is coming out with a ready to wear collection for Target, which has already garnered an absurd amount of buzz. Unsure of where or not you will be able to get the complete collection online or just in stores, but in any case take a lizzzzoookk: 

I like this yellow raincoat for $49.99 but the ruched skirt is questionable since its made by target who also manufactures things from the undeniably classy mossimo label. (skirt 34.99)

I like this pattern more as a skirt than a full on dress (see below) for 49.99. The bikini top I'm into because it actually looks like something Posen would design for his couture line. The cardigan is nothing earth shattering for 49.99 but the belt is a winner for 24.99.

I like the shape of this brocade dress, but I'm not sure about the pattern.  It kind of reminds me of wallpaper from The Brady Bunch. (74.99)

Again, this looks like something Posen would design but the fabrication is just so cheesy and its 49.99.

I LOVE this, I think its my favorite.  I'm confused which is which because for this shot it lists both a Two-Piece Ruffled Dress in Navy and Black - $79.99 and Tank Dress in Tie-Dye Print - $29.99. I feel like I'd be into both.

Maybe this is my favorite actually. I don't know, I didn't expect to like this line as much as I do.  This kind of looks like a DVF dress and would be so fun for work and out. $39.99

Recently I haven't loved the Go International lines for Target, but look for look, I'm into this in a BIG way. I can't get a definitive answer whether or not this line will be sold online, like Anna Sui was, but be sure to be on the lookout for the line on April 25th!  Currently online is the Cynthia Vincent shoe collection, which I'm obsessed with.  I wanted these multi colored wedges, but of course they are one of the only two things that aren't sold online. 

 New York I love you, but having to go to Brooklyn to get my target fix isn't really working for me. Other than that she has a great collection of flats, all of which you can not only get online, but are free shipping! Enjoy.

Move Over Milly, Whitney Port's Whitney Eve on America's Next Top Model (Trannys Too!)

I used to watch America's Next Top Model more than I did anything.  I was like pavlov's dog every time I heard those magical words "TYRAAA MAIL."  I loved season after season, watching Tyra's ass get as big as her ego, until a night bio lab helped me kick the habit.  This season looked promising with Andre Leon Talley as a new judge and the promos showing models that looked like they weren't found at a Walmart, but after hearing Tyra declare that she would be wearing a jumpsuit in every episode, I had to say ohhh no no no.  Tonight I turned it on after hearing Whitney Port would be judging and was moreee than pleasantly surprised when the models walked the cat walk at Lucky Chengs.  There is really no end to the love I have for the tranny race, so I was over the moon when they combined tranny's and adorable fashions.  Who knew someone that was once on The Hills would produce something other than crazy?  Take a look at her spring 2010 collection:

Her collection is ultra femme and chic, but there is still an edge to them.  Thank god she got the hell out of LA. Otherwise it would've been twelve pairs of denim cutoffs and a baggy tank top.

Coachella How I Wish I Was There!

This weekend stars, musicians, hipsters and trannys alike came together at the indie-rock concert music festival Coachella and god dammit it was I was there!  Take a look at some of the pics courtesy of popsugar.
