Perfect Pitch at Pianos, Stale Sessions and Brunch at Brinkley's

Last night I went to Sessions 73 for a friends' birthday party.  We were told the drinks were two dollars each but really they were two dollars OFF and when you get down to it they were really just overpriced drinks because 6 dollars for a Budlight isn't exactly a steal.  The place was pretty big and wasn't sure it knew what it wanted to be struggling between finding itself as a intimate restaurant with a cover band playing all your favorite songs from ten years ago or a place for a bunch of white kids to grind to Katy Perry songs.  Conversely last weekend we went to Pianos on the Lower East Side, where we met this guy-

Half Santino Rice and half Jesus (not that there is a difference in Rice's mind), Santino 2.0 provided us with 15 minutes and 35 photos worth of entertainment.  Not that I can guarantee he will be there should you stop by 158 Ludlow Street, I can guarantee you'll like this place.  It's kind of like three bars in one, one area is just your run of the mill bar, one area is live music and the upstairs is a DJ bar/lounge.  Its perfect if you get bar ADD but don't want to hop around from place to place.
Today I had the pleasure of being overcharged at Brinkley's on Broome Street.  I got a pear and goat cheese salad, which was just that... some pears and goat cheese with leaves, but my guest of honor got a burger, which made me want to break my five years of red meat free.  The bloody mary's were spicy, fresh and most importantly strong, but then again they should be at 13 dollars each.
